Who can use Ablaze
You must be 16 or older to use Ablaze. If you're under the age of majority where you live, your parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
You can't use Ablaze if we've banned you, or if the law where you are forbids it. Ablaze may not be offered in every country.
Your licence to use Ablaze
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Ablaze on any Apple-branded device you own or control. You may use it only as these terms and the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions allow. People in your family can also use it through Family Sharing, where Apple allows that.
This is a licence, not a sale. You agree not to:
- copy, change, sell or rent out Ablaze, or make works based on the app itself
- take apart or reverse engineer the app, except where the law or an open-source licence lets you
- collect other people's posts or information from Ablaze, by hand or by automated means
- use bots, fake accounts or tricks to get around a limit, a filter, a review or a ban
- try to reach data that isn't yours, or disrupt Ablaze or the systems it runs on
- use Ablaze to break the law, or to help someone else break it
None of this limits your rights in the public-domain Bibles, or in the material licensed under Creative Commons described under "Scripture, content and credits".
Your account
You can use most of Ablaze without an account. To share, pray with others, join a Fire Circle or back up with Ablaze+, you sign in with Apple.
- One account is for one person. Please don't share it.
- Keep your Apple Account and your iPhone secure. You're responsible for what's done with your account.
- When Ablaze asks whether you're 16 or older, answer truthfully.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else is using your account.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings, then Delete account. Our Privacy Policy explains what that deletes.
Community rules
Ablaze is a place to pray for each other and share what God is doing. These rules keep it safe and kind. You agree to them in the app before you first share or join a circle. They apply to everything you post, comment or send.
- Encourage, don't argue. Replies are prayers and encouragement only. If a post isn't for you, pray or move on.
- Keep it about prayer and faith. No ads, no selling, and no asking for money, such as GCash, bank or PayPal details.
- Protect everyone's privacy. No full names, phone numbers, addresses, links or social handles, yours or anyone else's. Never share photos of children.
- Share what's true and yours to share. Ask before you share someone else's story.
- No hate, threats, sexual content or bullying. There's no place for them here.
- If you're in danger, reach out now. If you're thinking of hurting yourself, please call someone you trust or a crisis line.
- Report and block. Report a post or a comment that breaks these rules, and block anyone who bothers you.
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. That includes, for example:
- hate or contempt for anyone because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, age or any similar trait
- harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation or stalking
- sexual content or nudity, or anything that sexualizes or endangers a child
- violence or gore, or anything that encourages self-harm or suicide
- scams, spam, advertising, or requests for money or donations
- someone else's private information, or a person's photo or story shared without their permission
- pretending to be someone else, including someone from Ablaze
- anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share
We remove content that breaks these rules, and we may remove or ban the person who posted it. Whether something breaks the rules is our decision, and we try to make it fairly.
What you share
It's yours. You keep any rights you have in what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store it, show it and send it. We use that licence only inside Ablaze, for the people you chose to share it with. It includes adjusting how your post looks so it fits the screen. The licence ends when your post is taken down or your account is deleted, except for copies we keep as our Privacy Policy describes.
You're responsible for it. When you share something, you promise that:
- it's true, to the best of your knowledge, and it's yours to share
- the people in your story or photo agreed to be in it, and nobody in a photo is a child
- you name others only by their first name, or not at all
- it follows these terms and the community rules
Other people's posts are theirs. We don't check every story and we don't endorse what people post. A post shows its author's views, not ours. A "verified" mark on a photo means only that it was taken in Ablaze, and shared within a day.
Ideas you send us. If you send us an idea or suggestion, we may use it freely, without paying you or naming you.
Reporting, blocking and moderation
- Report a post or a comment. Tap the three dots on any post on the Prayer Wall or in the Feed, or on any post or comment in a Fire Circle, choose a reason, and tap Report. It leaves your own wall, circle and feed at once. Only we see who reported it.
- Block a person. When you report on the Prayer Wall, turn on "Also hide this person". You won't see each other's posts on the wall or in the Feed. In a Fire Circle, choose Block from the three dots on their post or comment. Then you won't see each other's posts or comments anywhere your names show. Posts shared anonymously stay as they are, so a block never reveals who wrote one. Either way, they aren't told, and you can undo it in Settings, Blocked people.
- In a Fire Circle, reports come to us, not to the circle: no one in it is told who reported, not even its leader. The leader can also remove posts, comments and members, and you can always leave a circle. You can write to us about anything in a circle, too.
- Automatic checks. Every public post is checked before it goes live, for links, contact details, money requests and words on our filter list. The first posts of a new account, and every seed story, wait for a person to approve them.
- Reports are acted on within 24 hours. A person reviews every report. When content breaks these terms, we remove it within 24 hours, and we remove the person who posted it from sharing when they abuse others. If 3 people report a post or a comment, it's hidden for everyone until we've reviewed it.
- What we may do. Approve, hide or remove a post, and remove a comment. Give a strike, quietly hide someone's posts and comments so only they see them, or ban them from sharing and from circles. We may do this without warning when we need to keep people safe.
- If you disagree. Write to us at ablaze@arvinrhen.com. A person will look again.
Fire Circles
A Fire Circle is a small group that prays for each other, sees each other's flame and talks inside the circle. Joining is always free. A circle of up to 12 people is free. A bigger circle, up to 120, needs its leader to have Ablaze+. You can be in up to 10 circles.
If you lead a circle, please use the leader's tools kindly: removing posts, comments and members, renaming the circle and changing its code. We may step in if a circle breaks these terms. If you delete a circle, everything shared in it is deleted for everyone.
Ablaze+
Ablaze+ is optional. It gives a few extras and helps keep Ablaze free for everyone. The paywall lists what it includes. Every Bible, Daily Fire, your streak, reminders, notes, prayers, exporting your notes and circles of up to 12 stay free.
- Plans. Ablaze+ comes as a monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Prices. The paywall shows each price in your currency before you buy. Prices vary by country, and may include taxes. If we change a price, Apple tells you before it applies. Where Apple's rules require it, Apple asks you to agree first.
- Payment. Your Apple Account is charged when you confirm the purchase.
- Renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same length and the current price. It renews unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trial. Some plans may come with a free trial, such as a free week on the yearly plan. Confirm: the trial at launch The paywall shows the trial before you start. Apple decides who can still get one. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription. We try to remind you 2 days before it ends, if Ablaze may send you notifications.
- Cancelling. Open your iPhone's Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Ablaze. You can also start from Ablaze: Settings, then Ablaze+, then Manage. When you cancel, you keep Ablaze+ until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your Ablaze account doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Apple handles all payments and refunds, under its own policies. We can't give refunds ourselves. To ask for one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Lifetime. One payment gives you Ablaze+ for as long as we offer Ablaze and Ablaze+. It isn't a subscription and never renews. Confirm: this meaning of lifetime
- Family Sharing. Ablaze+ can be shared with up to five other people in your Family Sharing group. Confirm: Family Sharing is on for all three products Backup and sync needs each person to sign in with their own Ablaze account.
- Restore Purchases. If you change iPhones or reinstall Ablaze, tap Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings.
- Give a year. Yearly and lifetime members can give someone a free year of Ablaze+. Lifetime members can give one every year, counted from the day they bought lifetime. Yearly members can give one for each paid year, once any free trial is over. Monthly plans, free trials, Ablaze+ through Family Sharing and free time don't come with a gift. Each gift is one of Apple's offer codes, and Apple's terms for them apply. A code works once, by the date shown with it, for someone who doesn't have an Ablaze+ subscription at the time. We can't replace a code that isn't used in time.
- Redeeming a gift year. The App Store shows you the offer before you confirm it. A gift year simply ends after the year and never charges you. If you'd like to keep Ablaze+ after that, you can choose a plan in the app.
- Other free time. A free year we give you by hand comes as the same kind of code and works the same way. Any other free time we give ends on the date we tell you and never charges you.
- Changes to Ablaze+. We may add to or change what Ablaze+ includes, and we'll show the current perks on the paywall. We'll never put Scripture or Daily Fire behind it.
Backups. Backup and sync works hard to keep your notes, prayers and progress safe, but no backup is perfect. Please keep your iPhone backed up too. You can export your notes and journal at any time, with or without Ablaze+.
What Ablaze is not
- Not counselling or professional advice. Devotions, reading plans and posts are for encouragement. They aren't medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. For those, please see a qualified professional.
- Not an emergency service. Nobody watches posts as they're written, and we can't send help to you. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number now. That's 911 in the Philippines and the United States, 000 in Australia, and 112 in much of the world. Ablaze shows crisis lines where they're needed, but we can't promise they're current or open where you are.
- Not a church. Ablaze isn't part of any church or denomination, and it doesn't replace your own church family.
Scripture, content and credits
We never change the words of Scripture. Ablaze shows these Bibles word for word, with the footnotes that come with them:
- King James Version (KJV). King James Version (1769 text). Public domain outside the UK. Text courtesy of the CrossWire Bible Society and eBible.org.
- Ang Dating Biblia (ADB). Ang Dating Biblia. Public domain. Digital text typed by Richard & Dolores Long, via getBible.net.
- Ang Salita ng Diyos (ASD). Biblica® Open Ang Salita ng Diyos. Copyright © 2009, 2011, 2014, 2025 by Biblica, Inc. Licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.
About the ASD. The original work by Biblica, Inc. is available for free at www.biblica.com and open.bible. It's licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence. Its words and punctuation are unchanged in Ablaze. We removed the formatting codes and left out the parallel-passage reference lines. We show the translators' footnotes apart from the verses, and a few headings and brackets sit slightly differently to fit the app. Nothing in these terms limits what that licence lets you do with the ASD text or its footnotes. Confirm: publish the ASD text as used in Ablaze, as docs/licenses/bibles.md suggests, and link it here
Ablaze's notes on old words explain words that have changed meaning since a Bible was translated. They're our own words. They never change the Bible text.

The music and sounds are for listening inside Ablaze only. Ablaze doesn't let you download or export them, and you may not take them out of the app.
Our own content. Ablaze's devotions, reading plans, notes on old words, the Alab character, and the app's design and words are © 2026 Arvin Rhen M. You're welcome to share them with friends through Ablaze's share buttons, for personal, non-commercial use. Please don't republish them elsewhere without asking. Ablaze is also built with open-source software, which keeps its own licences.
Other services and links
Ablaze links to services we don't run, such as crisis lines, Apple and websites mentioned in the app. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we aren't responsible for them. You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use Ablaze, such as your mobile data plan.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. With that in mind, you and we agree that:
- We alone are responsible for Ablaze and its content. Apple isn't.
- Support. We provide any maintenance and support for Ablaze, as these terms describe or as the law requires. Apple has no obligation at all to provide maintenance or support for Ablaze.
- Warranty. We're responsible for any warranty about Ablaze that the law gives you and that isn't effectively disclaimed. If Ablaze fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for Ablaze, if any. To the fullest extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation about Ablaze. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses from a failure to meet a warranty are our responsibility.
- Claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for any claim by you or anyone else about Ablaze, or about your having or using it. That includes product liability claims, claims that Ablaze fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property. Someone might claim that Ablaze, or your having or using it, infringes their intellectual property rights. If so, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- Legal compliance. You promise that you aren't in a country that's under a U.S. Government embargo, or that the U.S. Government has designated a "terrorist supporting" country. You also promise that you aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple can enforce these terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
If anything in these terms conflicts with the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, Apple's Usage Rules win.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Ablaze running, accurate and safe. But to the fullest extent the law allows, Ablaze is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be available, free of errors or secure, or that your data will never be lost.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that the law says can't be taken away.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill
- our total liability for all claims about Ablaze is capped. The cap is what you paid for Ablaze+ in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is more. Confirm: this amount
Some places don't allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as the law allows. These terms never limit our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Nor do they limit anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
If what you post causes a claim
You might break these terms or the law with what you post, and someone might make a claim against us because of it. If that happens, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, as far as the law allows.
Ending
You can stop using Ablaze at any time, and delete your account in the app.
We may suspend or end your access to sharing, to circles or to your account. We would do that if you break these terms or the law, or to protect other people. Where we can, we'll tell you why, and you can write to us to ask us to look again.
We may change Ablaze, or stop offering part of it. If we ever stop offering Ablaze altogether, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before. We'll also give you a way to export your notes. Confirm: this notice period
The parts of these terms that by their nature should last after you stop using Ablaze will last. These include what you share, credits, disclaimers, limits on liability, and governing law.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If the community rules change in a way everyone should read, Ablaze will ask you to agree to them again before you next share. If you keep using Ablaze after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. The courts of Cavite, Philippines, will hear any dispute about them. Confirm: governing law and the court's location
If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the laws where you live that can't be changed by agreement. You can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, if those laws allow it.
If something goes wrong, please write to us first. Most problems can be solved by email, and we'd like the chance to make it right.
General
- These terms, our Privacy Policy and the community rules in the app are the whole agreement between you and us about Ablaze.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a part of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer these terms if Ablaze ever passes to someone else. We'll tell you first. You can't transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else.
- These terms are written in English. If we ever offer a translation, the English version decides any difference.
